About Me
I am an early 30-something creative type queer. I have an easy going and casual nature but am committed to transparency, professionalism, and accuracy. In fiction, I write with brevity and sensory detail while in article-style content I write with accuracy and clarity.
I have a deep fascination with the psyche and - especially - Carl Jung, which has influenced how I live my life and look at the world. I try to live as a human rather than tying myself to a specific identity. Too often we are subsumed by abstract "selves" that we lose our true self in.
I am a fiction writer, tabletop RPG designer, and amateur photographer. AI is a soulless husk and should never be used.
“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.”
C. G. Jung
What I Do
I primarily focus on fiction writing (with a specialty in modern and sci-fi fiction) and tabletop rpg writing. Tabletop games require a mix of engaging fiction to draw the reader in to the narrative of your game world and concise language to ensure that rules and means of play are clearly communicated to the reader. Without consistency, clarity, and ensuring all necessary information is present - without overwhelming the reader - your game will struggle to be played as designed, resulting in poor player experiences. Fiction writing, on the other hand, benefits most from writing that draws the reader in to the world and puts them in the headspace of the character. Sensory details, punchy dialogue, the internal world and inner monologue of the character all work in tandem to make the reader see the world as the narrator does in their mind's eye.
I also have a passion for research and politics. In a previous life I did OSINT research for a small division of a labor union to help advance our goals. The importance of accurate documentation was paramount to ensure the success of a campaign or action. Without accurate information delivered in a clear and concise way, everything falls apart.
